Story:
What if you are in their thirties suddenly back to being a seventeen-year-old teenager and have struggled to adjust to an environment that has changed a lot. That's what happened to Mike O'Donnell (Zac Efron).
While still in high school, Mike was a teenager with a bright future. Mike is a successful athlete and got a scholarship to continue her education to a famous university. Unfortunately, at the same time, Scarlett (Leslie Mann) and Mike pregnant must immediately make a big decision.
Convinced that her life will be happy with Scarlett, Mike then decided to marry her and leave all that he could have at that time. Twenty years later, Mike began to doubt the choices she made at that time. Household began to fall apart and he chose to stay with Ned Freedman (Thomas Lennon), his good friend.
One day, when Mike was trying to help a man who would commit suicide, Mike suddenly finds himself transformed into herself when she was seventeen. Confused and not know what to do, he then asked the help of Ned which fortunately could accept this strange occurrence.
Ned then pretend to be the father of Mike and Mike to a high register. Now Mike must begin to adapt to an entirely new environment. Worse yet, he turned out to be at one school with Maggie (Michelle Trachtenberg), his daughter.
The idea of repeating the past had always been an interesting idea. Not what most people would have had regrets and want to repeat when he made a mistake and fix it. That is a solution that is always pictured as facing severe problems. It also makes a lot of film people who try to put these ideas into movie form. Not a bit of this themed films that have been produced to the point that this idea is so not interesting anymore.
And like Burr Steers, the director, also could not escape the grip of the past stories about this repeating. Indeed there was the message delivered, but it's already stale to be repeated again. THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT time to create enlightenment in this one genre but rose did not last long because when the sequel is made, the idea was so not interesting anymore.
17 AGAIN this could be called a mild version of the movies that carry a similar theme. In fact in a way, this movie was made only to 'expose' Zac Efron is likely going to suck up a lot of visitors cinema. The cast's acting mediocre storylines while also not very interesting. Finally, there remains only 100 minutes of entertainment that does not overload the brain.
